Enrichment Events, Activities and Places to Visit

Ashwell students will learn from many, varied enrichment activities. These include opportunities to travel abroad to visit the battlefields of World War One and visiting students in our link schools in Poland and China in conjunction with Aspire Academy. Students will also experience projects with link schools around the world to further enhance student learning and experience. Students participate in educational visits in this country too. Those on external provisions have the opportunity to build their resilience and endurance skills by trying new activities such as boxing, sailing and rock climbing. Enrichment can and does happen in our classrooms too. Ashwell takes the opportunity to teach our students about current and world affairs on a regular basis, within a classroom environment. This is in addition to themed teaching of British events and traditions. Ashwell’s blog can tell you more about this! Please take a look.

Despite this wide and varied enrichment experiences, shouldn’t only happen in the classroom and be organised by the school. There are many enrichment activities students and parents can organise and do on their own, at the end of the school day, weekends and school holidays.
